SYNOPSIS
Sophie lives in the outskirts of Dakar, Senegal. She has had a son outside of marriage, Ibrahim, and has no family support as a young mother. She has suffered from prostitution and rape.
She writes every day in her journal. It is her way of making sense of the world, her manifesto. She finds her words by reading any French book that comes her way, from Musso to Dolto. One day she would like to publish her work, but most of the sentences she has written are borrowed from other authors. The film allows her to share her story, plagiarism and all.
